I decided to bring the new year in with what I would consider the best Browning trail camera for 2017. Browning is very popular and as a company, they really seem to go out of their way to better their trail camera standards with every new series.
They do however keep it simple in that except for the Command Ops Series (8MP picture quality), all their other trail cams are 10MP. The difference comes in with video and with the video quality of up to 1920 x 1080 Full HD it really sets them apart for the average trail cams. With this quality, you can playback your videos on large (60″) TV screens.
The game cameras also use what they call “Zero Blur” technology, in short, it eliminates motion blur at night with a faster shutter speed.
Browning trail cameras are really small compared to other trail camera brands with the Strike Force HD Elite and the Dark Ops Elite HD being the smallest in the market. This is a huge benefit when you place the camera in very bushy areas where you do not have a lot of space to work with. With the camouflage design, it is also not very visible which gives me another reason to give it a thumbs up.
Trigger speed on all the cameras is quite good in the range of 0.4 to 0.67 seconds.
If you are going after price compared to quality, you hardly have to look for anything else. Browning trail cameras are all well priced (below $200) compared to similar game cams and with technology and great image and video quality behind the Browning range you can hardly fault in getting these for yourself. It is also backed by a 1-year guarantee, so you don’t have a lot to lose. Check Browning trail cameras on Amazon for the latest prices and possible discounts.
My Preferred Browning Trail Camera
If I had to select my preferred Browning trail cam I would certainly go top of the range with the Dark Ops Elite HD.
As mentioned previously it is small (4.5” x 3.25” x 2.5”) with a camo finish. 10 MP image quality with (what I really like) 1280 x 720 HD videos with sound. Trigger speed is 0.4 seconds and has superior battery life. The camera is also programmable with 5 seconds to 60 minutes picture delay. It also has a TV out and USB port. It comes with all the Browning features that make them unique from the other trail came brands.
